Christmas time was approaching
Snow was starting to fall
Shoppers choosing their presents
People filling the mall
Children waiting for Santa
With excitement and glee
A little boy tugged my sweater
Looked up and asked me
"Where's the line to see Jesus?
Is He here at the store?
If Christmas time is His birthday
Why don't we see Him more?"
As I stood in amazement
At this message profound
I looked down to thank him
He was no where around
The little boy at the mall
Might as well have had wings
As the tears filled my eyes
Thought I heard him sing
"Where's the line to see Jesus?
Is He here at the store?
If Christmas time is His birthday
Why don't we see Him more?
"Where's the line to see Jesus?
He was born for me
Santa Claus brought me presents
But Christ gave His life for me."
In the blink of an eye
At the sound of His trump
We'll all stand in line at His throne
Every knee shall bow down
Every tongue will confess
That Jesus Christ is Lord
Where's the line to see Jesus?
Is He here at the store?
If Christmas time is His birthday
Why don't we see Him more?
Where's the line to see Jesus?
He was born for me
Santa Claus brought me presents
But Christ gave His life for me.

Pumpkin roll
This afternoon, a dear friend of mine volunteered to watch my rowdy active boys so I could get a few things done around the house in preparation for our upcoming Christmas celebration. Wasn't that just SO KIND of her?!
Here is the fruit of my labor... a beautiful pumpkin roll!
It's a gluten-free pumpkin spice cake with a sweet cream cheese filling and topped with chopped pecans .... soooo delicious! There is no way I could have made that while the boys were at home... it took me about 1-1/2 hours and a fair amount of concentration. (Yes, I am somewhat a novice at this sort of thing... but I am good at following directions, as long as I'm not distracted!)
Hooray! Now I feel like a true Christmas hostess! :) Thank you, Kim!!!

What's happening to our Nation??
We don't need more laws.
What we need is
Jesus.
For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God's glorious standard. The payment for sin is death, but the gift that God freely gives is everlasting life found in Jesus Christ our Lord.
God demonstrates His own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us! Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, because they don't know what they are doing."

Lovin' Minne-SNOW-ta!
What could be better than a big dumping of snow?! :)
My oldest son had been asking God for LOTS of snow, but the weather forecast indicated not much for our area and lots for north of the Twin Cities... and he asked me, "Mom, what if God doesn't answer my prayer?" Well, once again God showed Himself sovereign! The snow began last night, and my husband measured 8 inches on top of his car this afternoon—and it's still snowing!
Our boys frolicked in the flurry for nearly three hours today. (They should sleep really good tonight!)
